2nd Year of College!

Wow, school has begun again and what craziness it has been already. We just got done with midterms (THANKGOODNESS). My mom and grandma helped move me up to Rexburg this time. I’m living with Shelley, Libby, and Amanda again and have two new roommates who I love! The first weekend we were really bored so we made a fort and watched a movie in our fort. It was awesome! And we dyed my hair red…it was crazy at first! We are full of random things. Me and Brittany are so much alike and so crazy it’s never boring with us around! For example, last Friday we made a band. I played my guitar and she got pots and pans out and played the drums. We played for everyone who came home it was awesome! We also had the random idea of carving watermelon instead of pumpkin. I’ve only been home twice this semester and one was for Dallin’s baptism and the other for General Conference. I did the Temple to Temple relay this semester and made some awesome friends doing it. I ran the four mile leg in about 32 minutes! WOO! Elder Oaks came and gave an awesome but scary devotional and I got to be in the Hart where he was. It was so neat to be so close to an apostle. Exciting news on a test I got a 94.5% on my science test WOO again! It was exciting! For that science class I got to go on a field trip out to West Yellowstone and make lots of stops on the way that had to do with earthquakes and volcanoes. It was really neat to learn about the area I live in. I ran into someone who served with my friend in Taiwan. His name is Bryce. It was so neat to meet someone who knows him out on the mission. He helped me write a little letter in Chinese! I had Whitney and Alyssa Love come and spend the night with me and my roommates! We ate pizza and ice cream and watched Hannah Montana the Movie (which is sooo cute!) It was fun to have them here! We had our ward Halloween party this last weekend and we all dressed up like old ladies…and they made me fat! We went on a hay ride and then ate dinner and had a costume contest (which our apartment won!)
So my mom is amazing! She sent me cookies and other treats to me in the mail! What would I do without such an amazing mom??? I want to be just like her when I grow up!

I just can’t believe how blessed I am to be here where I’m at and doing what I’m doing. The Lord is constantly watching out for me and is always there in the hard times. Things always work out in the end. LIFE IS GOOD!

Summer Checklist!

Looking over the list of things that I wanted to do this summer I realized just how much I actually did and how much fun I had! Let’s review the list:
Things I Wanted To Do This Summer
Bear Lake Bear Lake Bear Lake…check! Even though I only went twice this year I still went and had a blast! One of those times was with all the Nash’s and we had my Uncle Jason’s “Steeler of Time” boat. It was great to spend time with family!
Rodeo…check! I went to the rodeo and had a blast! I also went to the demolition derby just before the summer ended…those are awesome too!
Road Trip SOMEWHERE…CHECK AND CHECK! I went to Hogle Zoo at the first of the summer just after Emily got home. We had a crazy fun time and it was great to spend time with my best friend again. I got to go to Park City for my dad’s birthday, then the following weekend (my birthday) Emily and I took a road trip visited each of the temples in Utah and ended up in Vegas with her aunt and uncle and spent a day in Vegas. Then later on in July I was invited to go with Jeff and Sandi and their family to South Dakota. It was an awesome trip…got to visit all the trek sites again and see Mount Rushmore and beautiful surrounding sites. We went to Boise for my cousin's mission farewell...I got to ride with my cousin and help her with her little girls. It was great to see my cousin again and wish him well on his mission. He will be a great missionary. I drove my Uncle Jerry home. It was awesome to spend time with him and talk about my uncle Don who passed away just a few months after I was born and my Grandma Larsen who passed away when I was two...and of course all my uncles and grandpa who passed away when I was nine. I wish I could have recorded it. I loved feeling closer to my family by learning about them through crazy stories. I didn't realize just how much I am like my grandma larsen!
Make Em's Video..Check! When Em got home we made her Ecuador video and it was a success.
Do a Photoshoot…no check…still working on that…
Take a Day Just to Take Pictures..not check…I didn’t have a day to just take to do that!
Go Swimming…check! I got to go swimming a few times with the Winwards and once at the Larsen family reunion and I took my cousins kids and played with them in the pool. All of the little girls went down the little kid slide and would beg for me to catch them at the end. Let’s just say I was worn out by the time we left. 
Go Fluming…no check! I did go and sit on the flume with friends a couple times but never went down it this summer.
Go to Rexburg a Few Times…check! I came to Rexburg a few times…once with Emily. We went and took pictures by the Idaho Falls temple and went and did baptisms in the Rexburg temple. Then went to a concert on campus. It was fun to show Emily around and show her what I had been up to the last year while she was gone.
Have the Best Birthday (19!!!) It was a memorable one that’s for sure! Emily and I were driving home from Las Vegas that day. I think being in the car for long periods of time does things to you. In between Las Vegas and St. George I saw three dead deer along the side of the highway while Emily was sleeping. When she woke up I proceeded to seriously show her the dead deer because they looked so funny. She laughed so hard at me and I was confused for a little bit because I was so serious. We just had to pull over and take a picture of me showing her what the deer looked like…
Read, Read, Read…Check! I read a lot this summer! It was wonderful! If you are looking for a good book try the Chris Stewart Great and Terrible Series. I was hooked!
Over-all it was an awesome summer working at the library and the courthouse and feel so blessed to have had such an awesome summer!

Its Now Summer(well sorta) Here's An Update

Life got a little busy with school and such...and I spent most of my time doing homework, playing, working, and facebooking...which is just ridiculous. I forced myself to go without facebook for a few days but then realized that that's the way I keep in touch with Emily so come May 31 when Em gets home I will spend much less time on there and more time working, playing, reading, being outside, and doing things actually worth my time.
My 1st year of college is now behind me. What a glorious feeling! LOTS have happened and a few things deserve their own posts. I ended up getting two B's this last semester on a few of my tougher classes...but in the end I'm feelin pretty good. I got to thinking that I would just get my associates here at BYUI and then I would transfer somewhere else...just after that thought I checked my BYUI email and I had a scholarship...which means that I will be paying just $300 per semester! The Lord just keeps proving to me that I'm supposed to be at BYUI...so I guess I'm staying there!
I was going to stay up in Rexburg and work at the library there for the summer...but as fate would have it I'm here at home now. I was just going to take a few weeks off and do nothing here at home and then head back up there...but as I went to the library to visit I somehow got talked into working for the few weeks I was home. And things just worked out and now I can get as many hours as I want here at home and I have a few other side jobs here at home so HOME it is for the summer (plus I don't have to pay rent and my mommy is good at cooking and saving me food :) ) Already I am sleeping a lot more and eating a lot better and might I add a lot more! I miss my roommates terribly...they were all soooo much fun! Never a dull moment! And our FHE brothers really are like brothers. I got to go to the Jazz playoff game against the Lakers (the only one the won) with one of my FHE brothers! It was amazing! I had so much fun! I still get random texts and calls from another...which is interesting but that's Jared for ya!
Things are just moving right along! It's almost been a year that my friend left on his mission to Taiwan, which I can hardly believe! I'm thinking about doing a nanny program next summer back east so I might miss him coming home if I do that but I'm really looking into that...But so far I'm waiting for my summer to begin when my friend Emily gets back from ECUADOR! I have missed her a lot and we've already made plans for the summer!

Back at School

Just an update:
My first semester of school finished Dec 12...I moved home that day! Starting the break off me and Dawn went to Twilight...which I have mixed feelings about...but was still something fun to do. I also went back to work at the library while I was at home...I worked Monday...then Tuesday morning I had my wisdom teeth out! and went to work the next day for a few hours. overall it was not a pleasant experience. But it all went well in the end.
Christmas was fun and it was good to be with the family even though they say i wasn't really even with them. too much of a good thing can be bad...
New Years was great...we went to Andrea's house and played games and i got to play with Sadie (she is soooo cute!) There was an odd incident that night that i have continuously laughed at was my mother's comment...about how i need to have a boyfriend for next years new years so that the teams will be even! LOL did my mother just say that!???
The saturday after new years my mom helped me and we moved my stuff up and into my new apartment. I met my room roommate who is Jamaican and hilarious and sooo fun! I came back up tuesday for good and met the rest of my roommates and we have such a great apartment! i love being with all these girls. And its nice to have someone i know to live with-thanks lib!
Classes started Wednesday and so far i'm in love with my social dance class! we have learned the fox trot so far! its sooo much fun meeting a whole bunch of people. come to find out two girls in there i have met before that are from home! The teacher is so fun and the class is great. The rest of my classes are going to be a lot of work...but hey that's school for ya.
It is now the long weekend...and i decided to stay up here after all. Today after my first and only class on fridays i came home and took a three hour nap. then decided i better get up and get some homework done. Everyone has dates tonight. Me, i'm not sure what i'm going to do. possibly just watch a movie and eat ice cream and sleep some more! Nothing wrong with that! :)

HOME SWEET HOME-even for a few hours

So on Monday I got to go home for a bit. It was sure good to see everyone. Ryan missed me! I love that kid! It was good timing on my part since Ryan volunteered to play the piano at the nursing home that night and i got to go and listen. He is such a good little player for only playing for two months! And i got roped into playing...my mom volunteered me. But luckily i can play i am a child of god so it all worked out. After that we stopped at the library so i could say hi to the ladies there. they were all so surprised and happy to see me! And i was so happy to see them i almost cried! They sure mean a lot to me there! We had to hurry and catch up since mom wanted to leave because she had a schedule and by all means we have to keep to the schedule. Love ya mom! And as ruth and shauna said i am just like you! Anywho, its amazing what being home even for a short time can do for you! i can't wait for next week when i get to spend a whole week home! Thanksgiving-bring it on!
